LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO LIABILITY RELEASE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENT

THAT, the undersigned hereby acknowledges that he/she has been advised of and understand that the exploration of caves and its related activities may be potentially hazardous and is aware of the dangers involved. The undersigned has been advised and understands that the LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO (LAG) is an internal organization of the NATIONAL SPELEOLOGICAL SOCIETY (NSS) and hereby acknowledges that the NSS has no control or direction whatsoever of the exploration trips of which the undersigned may undertake.

IN CONSIDERATION for the LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO allowing me to participate in any of its sponsored group trips and activities and for other activities such as training and instruction by various members of the LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO, I do hereby, on my behalf and on behalf of my heirs and legal representatives, forever release and discharge the officers and members for any and all claims of any type which I may have arising out of any acccident occurring on any activity sponsored by the LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO. I have been advised and understand that LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO OFFICERS, TRIP LEADERS, and MEMBERS participate as volunteers, unpaid participants and receive no fees or monetary compensation for their efforts.

I hereby acknowledge and understand that this is a full and complete release for any potential claim that I may have against LUBBOCK AREA GROTTO and/or NATIONAL SPELEOLOGICAL SOCIETY for any and all injuries or accidents of any type which may happen to me whether directly or indirectly as a result of the activities associated with cave exploration.
